Barneys incredible shoe salon is about to get some competition: 10022 Shoe is coming to Saks Fifth Avenue (700 N. Michigan Ave., 312-944-6500). The name comes from the New York zip code that's home to the first 10022 Shoe shop (see a pic below), but the Chicago version is going to be equally chic. In the brand-new 3,300-square-foot space, expect a ridiculously covetable collection of shoes, including designs from Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, and Chicago's own Brian Atwood, who will be on hand to unveil the gorgeous new space on the morning of Sept. 8. Atwood is also the featured guest at the 10022 Shoe party that night, which will take place as part of Fashion's Night Out. Expert repair services and a VIP room will also be part of the 10022 experience, where shoes are treated as works of art, presented on glass, antique mirror, limestone, exotic wood, and white Carrara marble platforms. Add in gold and silver metallics, jewel-toned upholstery, and an eclectic mix of chandeliers, vintage furniture, and modern tables, and you have shoe salon perfection!
