AllSaints Chicago Opening
Shop Watch: AllSaints Is Open!

The saints come marching in! I happened to be walking past the soon-to-be opened AllSaints (700 N. Michigan Ave., 312-283-0400) the other day, while they were in the midst of unveiling the store's massive facade — wowzers! When I heard that the store was going to be accented with Turkish looms and vintage Singer sewing machines (signature AllSaints decor), I never imagined the amazing display you can now see in the front window. That's what I call creative window dressing! As for the rest of the store's aesthetic, think industrial European train station, whatever that means to you!

But the real appeal within the 11,0000-square-foot store is the women's, men's, and children's apparel, shoes, and accessories. While the fashion-forward threads won't require the salary of a supermodel, don't go in thinking you're going to be flipping over tags with prices comparable to next door neighbor H&M (we love you, too.) Tops and tees are around $100 to $200, jeans and pants are around $100 (unless you're going for leather), and most dresses are usually under $300 (but we've seen a few that hover in the $400 to $550 arena too.) I'm lovin' the suspender-meets-skirt look of the Nightingale Melody dress ($185) pictured. A girl has to mix up her closet, right?
Make sure you add a trip to AllSaints to your to-do list this weekend before any of those not-so fun errands.
