For a feast of epic proportions, The Peninsula Chicago (108 E. Superior St., 312-337-2888) has two options that will leave you opening your belt a few notches afterward.
Both Avenues and The Lobby will feature an abundance of stations with everything from traditional eats (Gunthrop Farm roasted turkey, chestnut-sage stuffing) to delicious alternatives such as sushi, California sturgeon, three peppercorn-roasted prime rib, Peking duck, and more — including a sweet table that puts Willy Wonka to shame. And to keep the little ones amused, there will be a children's lounge, complete with games, movies, a magician, and kid-friendly eats like mini grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken fingers.
The Thanksgiving Day buffet will be available for three seatings between 10:30 a.m and 6:30 p.m. and costs $135 per adult and $38 per child 12 years and under.
