10 a.m.: Skype meeting with a residential client in Dubai. This project is so much fun to work on — practically all custom furniture, including a chest made from the most gorgeous turquoise sourced from Iran and an art installation commissioned by an incredible London-based artist. These international jobs are such a delight. Must book my next trip out there and make sure to add a couple of nights for some R&R at Dubai desert retreat Bab Al Shams.
11 a.m.: Head to Lincoln Park for new business meeting. Couple is hip, willing to take risks, and loves color, so this will be a fun one. Source: Bab Al Shams
