You're not a Chicagoan unless you own at least one down-filled puffer coat, most of which are far from fashionable and add at least 10 extra pounds (oh, the sacrifices we make to survive a Windy City Winter). Luckily, with the opening of the new Moncler shop, we'll no longer have to choose between a shivering bod and a stylish one. The super-chic Italian label opens this month at 25 E. Oak St. (right next to Hermès and close to Bonpoint and Pomellato) and offers a huge array of the most amazing Winter coats I've ever seen. High-fashion details liked mixed materials, slimming shapes, and fur details add a little something extra to the typical down coat. So, ladies, prepare to retire that North Face you've been rocking since '07. There's a posher way to get puffed.
