I wish I could say that I'm training for the Chicago Marathon, but after suffering and healing from a broken ankle and ripped ankle tendon over the years, my running days are dunzo — at least for now. Whether you're planning to run the half or full marathon this Fall or you simply want to step up your game, On Your Mark Coaching and Training (1101 W. Monroe St., Suite A, 312-733-9330; 1753 N. Damen, 773-292-9330) can help.

If you need a little motivation to get or keep going, a 45- to 60-minute run class meets every day, but Saturday, at the West Loop location. As race dates gets closer, OYM will also be offering complimentary stretch sessions at both locations (West Loop and Bucktown). Check out the website for the most recent schedule. If you're really looking to up the ante, try out the gait analysis, a common test that's used to help you run your best.

Not planning on busting out your best Flo Jo? Both OYM studios also boast amaze class schedules filled with diverse options like spinning, cardio boxing, conditioning, Pilates, and more. You'll be torching calories using everything from suspension cables, free weights, swiss balls, bands, heavy chains, and tires — not one machine in sight.
